Default Hearts of the North Question

Hello,

I have a question about the Hearts of the North mission:

When playing as Keiran Thackery, the player gains his attributes and special skill bar....but what about armor? When I open my inventory panel during the solo quests, my character appears as she usually does, with her own armor.

I've played through Hearts of the North three times now, first as a ranger, then as a para, and lastly on my ritualist. I found "Rise", the final quest, more difficult on my rit, even though I had done it twice before on other characters. It could just be that the spawns of white mantle were not in my favor. But if we still have our own AL, that would also explain why it felt more difficult on a caster than a paragon.

This frustrated me when EotN first came out, the Fronis Irontoe dungeon, which also has a fixed skill bar, is more difficult to do on a caster profession than a warrior. I wish Anet would give us all the same armor rating when doing solo quests like these.

The thing with keiran is its a disguise and usually a disguise only gives an appearance of the chr but armor stays same as yours - see blacktide den mission in nightfall. With kieran i assume you get his ranger ar and his att points presetso theres nothing much to worry about as ive had same damage done to me as ranger and as mesmer.
FRonis lair is different as it doesnt use a disguise.
I know it seems that each chr when punching seems slower or faster than others but i think its all same - remember your attibutes wont count but only i believe crit strikes or dagger mastery ( for the gold daggers ) is meant to help.
Also chrs can buff their ar using runes still which cant be dont in kierans.
So its actually 2 diff situations but same reply really

If Keiran has no fixed armor value on his own, but does have fixed health and energy, the player would still benefit from insignias, such as stalwart or brawlers. Radiant or survivor insignias would obviously not have any effect. I will have to experiment some with different armor sets and see if they make a difference.

Wiki helps:

Notes
* While in this disguise, characters have:
o Maximums of 600 health, 25 energy, and 3 pips of energy regeneration.
o A minimum armor rating of 70 generally and 120 vs elemental damage.
* Consumables, insignias, runes, and weapon upgrade components will not change health, energy, or attributes; they will otherwise work as expected (e.g. they will increase armor rating or decrease duration of conditions).
